Limits are subject to change and may be affected by account verification and compliance checks.

Transfer speed

Transfers to Colombia are completed within 1 working day. Transfers made on weekends or public holidays may take longer as local banks operate on standard hours. The estimated delivery time is always shown before you confirm.

Important: Colombian bank tax (4 x 1,000)

Some banks and digital wallets in Colombia apply a local financial transactions tax known as the 4 x 1,000 tax — a deduction of 4 Colombian pesos per every 1,000 pesos transacted.

This is a Colombian government tax applied by local banks and wallet providers — it is not an OrbitRemit charge. Your recipient may receive slightly less than the full amount shown at the time of your transfer if their bank applies this tax.

We recommend checking with your recipient or their bank to understand whether this applies to their account before sending.
