Transfer speed

Transfers sent on weekends or public holidays may arrive later, as local banks and payout partners operate on standard hours. The estimated delivery time is always shown before you confirm.

How to send money to China

  1. Log in and start a transfer

    Log in to your OrbitRemit account at orbitremit.com or open the OrbitRemit app. Select CNY (Chinese Yuan / Renminbi) as the receiving currency and enter the amount you want to send in AUD or NZD.

  2. Choose your delivery method

    Select either Bank deposit or Alipay as the delivery method.

  3. Enter your recipient’s details

    For bank deposit: Enter your recipient’s full name and Chinese bank account details.

    For Alipay: Enter your recipient’s name and their Alipay-registered mobile number. Make sure the mobile number is the one linked to their active Alipay account.

  4. Pay for your transfer

    Choose your payment method and confirm. The $0.99 fee and exchange rate are both fixed at the time you confirm.

  5. Your recipient receives the funds

    Funds are delivered directly to your recipient’s bank account or Alipay wallet. There is no deduction at the receiving end.

For bank deposit transfers to China, you will typically need:
