  2. Add your recipient

Click New Recipient and enter your recipient’s details:

What details do I need for a Brazilian bank transfer?

Brazilian bank transfers require specific details that are slightly different from most other countries. Here is what you need:

Agência (Branch number): A 4-digit code identifying your recipient’s bank branch. This is printed on your recipient’s bank card and visible in their online banking app.

Conta (Account number): The full account number including the check digit (dígito verificador), which is the number after the hyphen. For example: 12345-6. Some banks require you to enter the check digit separately.

CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas): Brazil’s individual taxpayer identification number — an 11-digit number in the format 000.000.000-00. This is required for all international transfers to Brazil and is found on your recipient’s ID documents.

Ask your recipient to provide all three details directly from their bank account to ensure accuracy.
