Now Live in NZ: Pay for Transfers with Your Debit Card and More

Published

Debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay now live in NZ

Good news for our Kiwi customers — you can now pay for your OrbitRemit transfers using your New Zealand debit card. That means faster, easier, and smarter money moves, right from your phone or computer.

No more logging into online banking or waiting around for payments to clear. Just select Pay with Debit Card when creating your transfer and you’re sorted in seconds.

How it works:

  1. Create your transfer as usual in the app or on the website.
  2. At the ‘Payment Method’ screen, tap Pay with Debit Card.
  3. Enter your card details, or choose a mobile wallet option:
    • Apple Pay (on iOS devices or desktop browsers using Safari)
    • Google Pay (on Android devices or supported browsers)
  4. Done! We’ll send you an email as soon as we’ve received the funds and your transfer is on its way.

Apple Pay

If you’re using an iPhone, iPad or Mac, you can speed things up with Apple Pay. Just add your debit card to your Apple Wallet, and you’ll be able to pay in seconds — no need to manually enter card details.

Google Pay

Using an Android device? Google Pay has you covered. Add your debit card to your Google Wallet, and you can complete your payment quickly and securely during checkout.

Just a few things to know:

  • We accept Visa and Mastercard debit cards issued by NZ financial institutions.
  • The card must be in your name and not expired.
  • For larger transfers, debit card payments may not be available — but we’ll let you know during checkout.
  • A small surcharge may apply (we’ll show it to you upfront so there are no surprises).

Smarter, faster transfers — the Kiwi way 🇳🇿

At OrbitRemit, we’re all about making money transfers simpler and better value for our customers. Adding debit card support for NZ customers is just one more way we’re helping you move your money your way.
