OrbitRemit now supports international money transfers to Vanuatu from Australia and New Zealand. Send directly to your recipient’s M-Vatu mobile wallet — no Vanuatu bank account needed — for a flat fee of just $4 per transfer.
Vanuatu joins OrbitRemit’s growing network of 52+ destination countries, with M-Vatu as the first supported delivery method.
What is M-Vatu?
M-Vatu is Vanuatu’s leading mobile money service, operated by Vodafone Vanuatu. It allows users to send and receive money, pay bills, top up airtime and make purchases — all from their mobile phone, without needing a traditional bank account.
M-Vatu has played a significant role in expanding financial inclusion across Vanuatu’s islands, where access to bank branches is limited. Recipients can use their M-Vatu wallet to withdraw cash at local agents, pay for goods and services, or transfer funds to other M-Vatu users.
When your transfer arrives, your recipient will receive an SMS notification on their M-Vatu-registered mobile number. They can then access their funds immediately from their wallet.
